The MCM260X-3AD is a CANbus and Modbus Digital IO module. The MCM260X-3AD has 8 PNP input channels and 8 24 V solid state outputs up to a current rating of 700mA. The 3AD can be purchased and later changed with the aid of DIP switches between a CANbus device or a Modbus device. In the CANbus mode, the MCM-3AD is able to operate at a speed of 1 Mbit/sec on the CANopen. In the Modbus Slave mode it can operate at a 57600 Baud rate. LED's indicate the input and output status for each of the digital Input/outputs.
The MCM260X-3AD is small in size and is DIN rail mounted.

The MCM260X-3AD is a compact, DIN rail–mounted digital I/O module for Modbus or CANopen networks. It provides 8 PNP digital inputs, 8 solid-state 24 V outputs, and one encoder input (up to 80 kHz).
It offers 8 PNP digital inputs and 8 solid-state 24 V digital outputs. LEDs indicate the status of every input and output channel for quick diagnostics.
The 8 digital outputs are solid-state 24 V outputs with an overall current capability up to 700 mA. Size loads accordingly.
Yes. It includes one encoder input supporting frequencies up to 80 kHz, suitable for counting and speed/position feedback in motion or conveyor applications.
As a Modbus slave, it operates up to 57,600 baud. As a CANopen device, it operates up to 1 Mbit/s.
Protocol selection is done with on-board DIP switches—no special tools required. You can purchase for one protocol and later switch if needed.
Front-panel LEDs show individual status for all 8 inputs and 8 outputs, aiding commissioning and troubleshooting.
The module is small in size and designed for standard DIN rail mounting, enabling high-density control panel installations.
Common uses include PLC/SCADA expansions, machine I/O marshalling, motion/encoder counting, and distributed systems needing flexibility between Modbus and CANopen.
