The MCM260X-4AD is a CANbus and Modbus digital input and relay output module. The MCM260X-4AD has 8 PNP input channels and 8 relay outputs with normally open contacts. The contact load is up to 5 Amps and has a common input. The 4AD can be purchased and later changed with the aid of DIP switches between a CANbus device or a Modbus device. In the CANbus mode, the MCM260X-4AD is able to operate at a speed of 1 Mbit/sec on the CANopen network in the Modbus Slave mode it can operate at a 57600 Baud rate. LED's indicate the input and output status for each of the digital input/outputs.
The MCM260X-4AD is small in size and is DIN rail mounted.

What is the MCM260X-4AD?

The MCM260X-4AD is a compact, DIN rail–mounted I/O module for Modbus or CANopen networks. It provides 8 PNP digital inputs, two 0–10 V analog inputs, and 8 relay outputs with normally open contacts.

How many and what type of digital inputs are available?

The module offers 8 PNP digital inputs rated for 24 VDC, suitable for typical industrial sensors and switch signals.

Does the MCM260X-4AD include analog inputs?

Yes. It provides two 0–10 V analog inputs for voltage-level signal acquisition alongside the digital inputs.

What are the relay output specs?

There are 8 relay outputs with normally open (NO) contacts. Each contact is rated up to 5 A. The outputs share a common contact rail for straightforward wiring.

Which communication protocols and speeds are supported?

As a Modbus slave, the device operates up to 57,600 baud. As a CANopen device, it operates up to 1 Mbit/s.

How do I switch between Modbus and CANopen?

Protocol selection is done via on-board DIP switches—no special tools are required. You can purchase for one protocol and later switch if needed.

How is I/O status indicated?

Front-panel LEDs display the status of each digital input and each relay output to aid commissioning and troubleshooting.

How is the MCM260X-4AD installed?

The unit is small in size and designed for standard DIN rail mounting, enabling high-density panel installations.

Where is the MCM260X-4AD typically used?

Common uses include PLC/SCADA expansions, machine I/O marshalling, mixed signal acquisition (digital + 0–10 V), and systems requiring protocol flexibility between Modbus and CANopen.
