What is the MCM260-1AD?

The MCM260-1AD is a compact, DIN rail–mounted module that provides 16 solid-state digital outputs. It can communicate over Modbus or CANopen, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial control applications.

How many outputs does the MCM260-1AD provide and how are they indicated?

The device provides 16 digital outputs. Individual LEDs indicate the status of each output channel for quick diagnostics.

Which communication protocols and speeds are supported?

The MCM260-1AD operates as a Modbus slave at up to 57,500 baud and as a CANopen device at up to 1 Mbit/sec.

How do I switch between Modbus and CANopen?

Protocol selection is done via DIP switches on the device, allowing you to change from Modbus to CANopen and vice versa without special tools.

What is the output current capability?

The outputs are solid-state and the overall output capability is limited to 700 mA. Ensure your load planning stays within this limit.

How is the MCM260-1AD installed?

The module is small in size and designed for DIN rail mounting, enabling high-density panel installations.

What is the MCM260X-1AD?

The MCM260X-1AD is a variant in the same range offering 16 digital outputs with the same core capabilities: Modbus/CANopen operation, switchable via DIP switches, LED output indication, and compact DIN rail mounting.

Where is the MCM260 range typically used?

Common uses include PLC/SCADA expansions, machine I/O marshalling, distributed control panels, and applications requiring protocol flexibility between Modbus and CANopen.
