The MCM280X Modbus TCP Analog and Digital I/O module is a powerful and compact DIN rail–mounted solution designed for industrial automation systems requiring flexible data acquisition and control. Housed in a robust DIN43880 enclosure (9 modules wide), the unit combines analog, digital, and high-speed counting capabilities into a single device, making it ideal for PLC integration, remote monitoring, and distributed I/O applications.

Equipped with Modbus TCP/IP over Ethernet (10/100 Mbps), the MCM280X ensures fast and reliable communication with SCADA systems, PLCs, and industrial networks. In addition, the integrated RS485 Modbus RTU port allows seamless expansion of the system by connecting up to 32 additional modules in bridge mode, effectively extending I/O capacity without increasing network complexity.

The module features 4 high-resolution (16-bit) analog inputs, supporting a wide range of signals including thermocouples (K, S, R, J, T, E, N, B), RTDs (PT100, PT1000, Ni100), mA, voltage, millivolt, and potentiometer inputs. This flexibility makes it suitable for temperature, process, and position measurement in diverse industrial environments. Complementing this are 2 analog outputs, selectable as 4–20 mA or 0–10 V, providing precise control signals for actuators and control loops.

On the digital side, the MCM280X includes 16 digital inputs (8 standard PNP inputs and 8 multifunction channels configurable as inputs or outputs) and 8 static PNP digital outputs with up to 700 mA per channel maximum 2 Amps total. Additionally, 4 high-speed 32-bit encoder/counter inputs (up to 100 kHz) enable accurate pulse counting and motion monitoring applications.

Powered by a 12–24 VDC supply, the unit is designed for industrial environments with operating temperatures from 0 to 45°C. Configuration is simple via Modbus registers or the intuitive MyPixsysLab software, ensuring quick setup and integration.
